at Friendship Auditorium, 3201 Riverside Drive,
Los Angeles, 90027.

The community meeting will be held on Monday, November 2, 6pmGreater Los Angeles County Vector Control District (GLACVC) recently confirmed the existence of Asian tiger mosquitoes (Aedes albopictus) in the Silver Lake and Elysian Valley neighborhoods. The tiger mosquitoes have the potential to transmit exotic diseases such as dengue and chikungunya, and are considered major nuisances since they readily bite during the day and can affect many activities.

Hello all,

I received notice late yesterday that a trap set in the Elysian Valley area this week also tested positive for Aedes mosquitoes.
We will continue to scout that area and let you know more as we do.
