Meeting Agenda

EVNW Meeting – Wednesday 10/14/2015

Please Attend (Wednesday) Neighborhood Watch Meeting
Location/Local: 1918 Riverside Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90039
Time/Hora: 7-8 pm

Dear Neighbor:

Please be alert for any suspicious criminal activity and don’t hesitate to call 911 to report.  Better you call a false alarm than to not call what may very well be a crime in progress.  Know that you can contact police and request to remain anonymous.  You too can request that they call you back with a status report on the criminal activity you report.   If a victim of a crime, please remember to file a police report in person at the San Fernando Rd. Station.  The day is coming when we will be able to do so on-line from the comfort of our own home computer.  Know that No report=No Crime, which in turn equals no police resources to EV.  Thank you for doing your part.

Location/Local: 1918 Riverside Dr.
                                 Los Angeles, CA 90039
                                 Time/Hora: 7-8 pm

Meeting Agenda:

  • Meet the New Northeast Police Capt. (Arturo Sandoval)
  •  Crime Report (SLO-Gina Chovan-LAPD)
  • Mitch O’Farrell Report/CD-13 (Adam Bass)
  • Riverside Dr./Gail St. Median Presentation

CD13 is funding the complete re-do of the median (i.e. ripping up the concrete, and putting in plants and other beautifying the space)-Riverside Dr. (in between Eads St./Forney St.).  The EVNW has partnered with CD13 to help expedite this project.  We hope to add an Elysian Valley branding sign with the project, or at later date, dependent on the funding that the neighborhood council identifies for that element, and whatever is actually designed.  The sign element is something that the EVRNC had proposed, and we support the idea.  They were going to fund and organize a community effort to design that sign and we look forward to partnering with all interest groups to make this happen. The EVNW is particularly interested in having the sign made by local EV talent.
