Man dies from fatal hit-and-run at or near Riverside Dr./Fletcher
A pedestrian was killed in a fatal hit-and-run Thursday night around 10 p.m. as he was crossing Riverside Drive south of Fletcher Drive, near Home Restaurant, according to Los Angeles Police Dept. Central Traffic Division.The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. He is described as a white male in his mid-40s and wearing dark clothing.
Two vehicles heading southbound on Riverside Drive hit the victim, according to the police. According to police, the man was lying on the pavement from the impact of the first car when a second car struck him and dragged his body a short distance.
Both drivers left the scene without stopping to identify themselves or render aid. Police said one of the vehicles may be a black Hyundai or Kia sedan with damage to the left side. The model and year of the car are unknown.
